The Emerson 375 Field Communicator, a portable, intrinsically safe hand-held tool, is now available. Designed to support all devices using either HART or Foundation fieldbus digital communication protocols, the 375 enables users to configure and maintain all of their instruments and valves with one universal intrinsically safe handheld communicator, for use in the field and on the bench. The 375 Field Communicator is introduced with information on more than 600 HART and Foundation fieldbus devices from over 100 vendors immediately available.
The previous Emerson Model 275 HART Communicator is clearly recognised worldwide as the standard portable tool for the configuration and maintenance of HART devices.
The new 375 has the same capability, plus a new "Easy Upgrade" feature, which enables users to quickly and simply update the communicator on-site as new devices become available.
No longer is it necessary to send the communicator away to add new devices.
Also, with the 375 Field Communicator, Foundation fieldbus users gain a new, much needed portable intrinsically safe field tool to configure and maintain their fieldbus instruments and valves.
The powerful fieldbus segment diagnostics available in the 375 Field Communicator are the result of Emerson experience in thousands of fieldbus installations around the world.
Again, as the supplier base of Foundation fieldbus devices continues to grow, the simple process for updates provides a significant benefit to users.
The 375 Field Communicator supports Emerson PlantWeb technology and integrates over 17 years of experience providing HART users with the required tools to configure and maintain their instruments and valves in the field.
In addition to sales through the Emerson network, the 375 Field Communicator is available for sale on an OEM basis.
