Motorola Handset Leader Leaves Company

2008/03/09
Motorola is a company that’s been going through a lot of changes this year. Rumors started circulating in January that the company was going to leave the handset business and focus on other aspects of their business such as the recent release of their DOCSIS 3.0 modems. As these changes have taken place, some restructuring has also gone on. The company has announced that Stu Reed, the former president of Motorola’s handset business, is leaving the company. His position has been in limbo since last month when CEO Greg Brown took over the division. Brown himself only became CEO at the end of the last year, reflecting another of the many employee changes that have taken place at the company.
