So…Apple is selling out of iPhones…Europe Apple is slashing prices over 50% to get them out the door. We already know that if the iPhones had legs and could walk, no run, the result wouldn’t have been any different than what we’ve seen in U.S. store supplies.
When millions of Apple products go out the door, there’s always a “few” defective ones…always, right?…so there used to be refurb iPhones in the Apple store but as PD was finding out with his relatives in the market for a refurb price…there were none available a couple weeks ago…there still are none available…where are they? Surely not 100% of the iPhones sold are perfectly fine and don’t need returned and patched up a bit and sold off as refurbs? Is Apple throwing them completely away? Is Apple giving them away as door prizes to their employees and/or suppliers, resellers?
WHERE ARE THE REFURB iPHONES?!?
Now this may seem strange but I have a feeling that we’ll talk about it here a day or so and then magically, some blogger or analyst will raise the same question. We’re nearly always ahead of the curve on this kind of question here at Sanity. We may not have the answers but we do think of the questions and often before the media does. (I’ll humbly take credit for thinking of this one…lol.)
Anyone know anything about this or have any thoughts about it? I’m seriously puzzled about this topic.
(I suppose Toni S. will come up with a reason that includes Apple just ain’t sellin’ them iPhone thingies so there just aren’t any to refurb. I’ll go ahead and predict that Toni S. WILL have an article to release between now and Tuesday that says something to the effect that we’d better listen carefully to what AT&T says on Tuesday b/c that could really tell us a lot about what Apple is going to say on Wednesday about iPhone sales and that dirty little unlocking secret. Could be bad news you know. just my little prediction)
