Russia third biggest iPhone hot-spot.
2008/04/29
Despite not being officially for sale in Russia, the iPhone proved to be a big hit in the transcontinental country.
According to analyst Eldar Murtazin of Mobile Research Group, there are approximately 500,000 iPhone users in Russia making it the third highest in the world after the U.S. and China, where the iPhone is also not officially available at the moment.
The iPhone in Russia comes with a heavy price tag: the 8GB model is selling for at least $700, compared to $399 in the U.S and 399 Euros in France and Germany. Unlocking the device costs an additional $40 and also comes with a Russian language pack. LoopRumors
