Austria testing area for new iPhone

T-mobile has announced that Austria will be used as testing area by Apple for the new version of the iPhone. T-mobile hopes the new version will make the iPhone more popular in Europe.

The telecom provider has not provided sales figures in Europe yet, but the iPhone is not a big success in Europe yet. Most consumers don’t buy the phone because it’s sold in combination with an expensive mobile phone contract, or because they are waiting for the new version. The iPhone is also not sold yet in some European countries.

Rumors say Apple will show the 3G-iPhone in june of this year during the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.
