Rock has announced four new models – two each in its Pegasus and Xtreme ranges.
All feature up to Intel Core 2 Extreme X9100 or T9500 processors (using Centrino 2 technology for quieter, more efficient operation), nVidia GeForce graphics processors, 15.4-inch widescreen, up to 8GB of RAM, two megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi, DVD or Blu-ray reader/writer, and up to 500GB hard drive.
The Pegasus 320 is a petite and functional with a 13.3-inch screen and a six or nine cell battery. The 520 is at 15.4-inch and features a Blu-ray writer.
Meanwhile, the Xtreme models are numbered 620 and 780, the latter of which has a 17-inch frame.
The advanced specs mean it should be possible to efficiently multi-task, or handle various high-end applications such as watching high definition movies, editing video, and playing 3D games.
The Xtreme 780, Xtreme 620, Pegasus 520 and Pegasus 320 are available to pre-order from today, with shipments commencing in August. Prices are to be confirmed.
